2020: Announcement of DJI Mavic Air 2

At the end of April, 2020 DJI provided the new flagman drone in the assortment. It is about the DJI Mavic Air 2 model which has folding construction, improved video opportunities for comparison and more long flight in comparison with the previous model.

The second generation of DJI Mavic Air is similar not the first, but weighs more (570 grams against 430), also dimensions increased (to 18 x 9.7 x 8.4 cm). Increase in weight happened in many respects because of the new accumulator which allows the quadcopter to fly 34 minutes without recharge. The battery life  of Mavic Air 1 is measured 21 minute.

DJI Mavic Air 2

Innovation received the 48-megapixel camera capable to write 4K-video with a frame frequency of 60 fps and content of Full HD at 240 fps that allows to create the qualitative slowed-down videos. The drone automatically switches between the frequencies of 2.4/5.8 GHz for the choice of the least loaded frequency ranges.

Also It should be noted the following characteristics of DJI Mavic Air 2:

• maximum speed of ascent — 4 m/s;
• maximum speed of decrease — up to 5 m/s at sharp decrease;
• maximum height of flight above sea level — 5000 m;
• the maximum distance of flight — 18.5 km;
• max. horizontal speed of flight — 19 m/s;
• max. admissible wind speed — 29–38 km/h;
• max. slope angle — 35 °;
• max. angular speed — 250 ° / page.

The unmanned aerial vehicle  is completed with the receiver of automatic dependent observation broadcasting ADS-B. It is the standard observation system behind  the movement of aircrafts applied  generally by  airplanes. Thanks to it the drone will be able to obtain information on  what   is or will be in dangerous proximity to it at the current trajectory the airplane.^[1] 

The beginning of sales of Mavic Air 2  is planned for May 11, 2020. In a basic complete set the drone will cost 76 thousand rubles in Russia.

2018: DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise

At the end of October, 2018 it was provided and went on sale unmanned aerial vehicle DJI of Mavic 2 Enterprise, intended to corporate and state clients. In more detail here.
