It became known of creation of the national center of remote sensing of Earth by Roskosmos

According to technical specifications, the center consisting of 9 complexes of acceptance of information should provide acceptance and processing of space information from satellites of remote sensing: Kanopus, Meteor, Resource, Overview and "other perspective devices" among which there are also commercial. He will be responsible for automated management of the DZZ system and to estimate quality of data which send satellites.

The images transferred by satellites of remote sensing of Earth are applied in agriculture, geological and hydrological researches, forestry, environmental protection, a design of territories, the educational, prospecting and military purposes. The DZZ space systems allow to obtain for a short time necessary data from the big areas (including hardly accessible and dangerous sections), noted in Roskosmos.

In Roskosmos the parent organization which is responsible for acceptance, processing and dissemination of information of remote sensing of Earth is the Scientific center of operational monitoring of Earth (NTs OMZ) of Russian Space Systems holding. NTs OMZ performs functions of a land complex of planning, acceptance, processing and dissemination of space information from the Russian DZZ spacecrafts.[1]
