Arrival forecast for wagons

The first freight company (PGK) on December 16, 2021 announced the expansion of the functionality of the Mobile Reporter car inspection service. Now, with the help of the application, users can control the quality of three types of rolling stock: covered cars, gondola cars and cement trucks.

The application "Mobile reporter PGK" has proven itself well. During its use, thanks to our partners and employees, we were able to inspect 90% of the fleet of covered cars. Our "inspectors" took more than 400 thousand photographs, filled out more than 50 thousand questionnaires. These data help us to work on improving the quality of rolling stock and the speed of replacing rejected cars. In 2021, we supplemented the application functionality with the ability to inspect not only covered wagons, but also gondola cars, and cement trucks. In addition, in the annex it is now possible to receive notifications of the arrival of cars at a particular station and conduct video inspections. We continue to develop the product, we expect with its help to increase the level of customer service, as well as to form a complete and current digital base of the state of the PGK fleet for controlling the quality of cars and optimizing their repair, "commented Anastasia Boroznova, head of the Department of Innovative Technologies of the PGK Digital Development Department.

To inspect gondola cars and cement trucks, the user needs to fill in the check list in the appendix, load photos of the rolling stock. Information about the state of the car instantly becomes available to the operator. Depending on the absence or presence of comments, the GCC promptly decides on further actions.

If you refuse the car, the user can now not only take a photo, but also shoot a video. Informative hints and flashlight function will help to conduct video recording correctly.

In the application, customers can subscribe to the desired station and receive notifications about the arrival of cars. Artificial intelligence technologies predict the arrival of rolling stock up to day.

PGK Mobile Reporter was launched in April 2019. As of December 2021, the number of users involved in the process of prompt collection of information totals 1.7 thousand people representing the interests of about 200 companies. The digital database allows PGK to monitor the state of the fleet of covered cars in dynamics, timely repairs and provide customers with better cars. In the future, the service will help track any actions with each of the 100 thousand PGK cars.

Introduction of bonus system and gamification elements

The first freight company (PGK) announced on January 26, 2021 that as part of the digital development program, the company introduced a bonus system and gamification elements into the Mobile Reporter PGK car quality control application. Service users can now receive gifts for the number and quality of inspections, increase their status in the internal rating of the application and participate in challenges.

The application "Mobile Reporter PGK" works steadily, so we are moving on to the next step - attracting new users, improving the quality and completeness of inspections, increasing their number and coverage of the total number of covered cars. We implemented a point system, game mechanics, user rating, and also redesigned the application, making the interface more convenient. All this, in the end, is aimed at increasing customer satisfaction and will improve the quality of the cars that the company supplies to them for loading, "said Nikita Yamshchikov, head of the PGK digital development center.

As part of the implemented bonus system, inspectors of the PGK Mobile Reporter will receive points for inspections and completeness of inspections (presence of photos and comments in the questionnaire). Depending on the activity, users will unite in the leagues: "Beginners," "Former," "Experienced," "Pros" and "Legends." In each of the leagues, titles will be awarded, starting from the "New Inspector" and "Quality Specialist" to the "Evaluation Virtuoso" and "All-Seeing Eye." In total, the road map of achievements provides for 15 levels. Leaders with the maximum number of points will receive prizes from the PGK.

In addition, application users will be able to participate in challenges: perform tasks that are relevant for a certain period of time. For example, inspect a specific car that has undergone an increased amount of repair and double-check the quality of the work performed. Additional points will be awarded for this. The decision is aimed at increasing the intensity of inspections and the involvement of participants, "said Robert Buidov, deputy head of the department of transportation of industrial cargo and TNP PGK.

In the future, customers who actively use the PGK Mobile Reporter will be able to receive discounts on transportation and other business bonuses.

The Mobile Reporter application for January 2021 is used by more than 1.3 thousand users. In 2020, over 18.5 thousand inspections were carried out - 70% of the operator's indoor car fleet was covered. The formed extensive digital database allows PGK to monitor the state of rolling stock in dynamics, timely repairs and provide customers with better cars.

2020: Integration with "Customer Account"

The first freight company (PGK) integrated the Mobile Reporter PGK application with the Client's Personal Account. This became known on June 11, 2020. Now the operator's partners can see actual photos of covered cars sent to them for loading and all the information on their latest inspection: an assessment of the state of doors, floor, walls, roof and other parts, as well as technical characteristics - body volume, residual mileage and date of scheduled repair.

We are consistently developing the GCC digital ecosystem, taking into account the needs and wishes of customers. So, as of June 2020, users of the "Personal Account" had the opportunity to use the system for evaluating covered cars "Mobile Reporter PGK" by a single login and password, without additional registration. I am sure that a single login will make work with our IT products more convenient, save time for searching for information and conducting operations, "commented Andrei Kravets, Deputy General Director for Commerce.

In the "Client's Personal Account" you can track the dislocation of cars online on Yandex.Maps, clarify the forecast of their arrival, request the calculation of the dynamic balance, and also use other useful functions. For operational communication in 24/7 mode, a chat with managers works, significantly reducing the time to respond to partner requests. As of June 11, 2020, 793 companies have been connected to the service.

The Mobile Reporter PGK service allows customers to evaluate the covered car before and after loading, as well as submit an application to replace the damaged car without involving Russian Railways at the initial stage. In May 2020, about 500 external inspectors took advantage of it, the total number of inspections of cars exceeded 14 thousand.

2019: Launch of the Mobile Reporter digital service

On April 2, 2019, the First Freight Company (PGK) announced the development of a system that will help automate the acceptance and rejection of covered wagons, as well as ensure the safety of the fleet. It is available for download on the Apple Store and Google Play.

The pilot version was successfully tested as part of the contract with Altayvagon when accepting covered cars. According to April 2019, the service is focused on working only with this type of rolling stock. PGK customers registered in the "Personal Account" can log into the application with the same login and password. For partners who receive the car at the station, a simplified registration system by phone number is available.

The company plans to expand the capabilities of the service and add other types of freight cars.[1]
