2020: Start of COVI-PASS in 15 countries

On May 8, 2020 it became known that the Circle Pass Enterprises company starts deliveries of 50 million digital passports of health of COVI-PASS to the organizations in 15 states, including Italy, Portugal, France, Panama, India, the USA, Canada, Sweden, Spain, South Africa, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates and the Netherlands.

As reported in the press release which came to edition TAdviser, the digital passport of health of COVI-PASS developed by Circle Pass Enterprises contains information on carried out by its owner of tests for a koronavirusny infection of COVID-19, including the place and date. The passport also contains instructions on when it is necessary to make the test next time.

Information on analyses is attached to the person by means of his personal data, such as name, surname, and photo.

For use of the passport of COVI-PASS the user downloads the application on the smartphone which by means of color indication signals about the status of the user: poses a threat, can bear harm or it is infected. For reading of the status at distance VCode barcode developed by the British company VST Enterprises is used.

The VCode code is similar to the QR code, but has several advantages for use in the field of health care. It is the closed technology equipped with end-to-end enciphering conforming to the international standard on information security of ISO/IEC 27001.

To scan the VCode code and to learn the status of the person, it is not necessary to approach it close. The code can be shown not only on the smartphone screen, but also, for example, to print it. Depending on the carrier and code size its reading is possible at distances to 100 meters.

Having implemented COVI-PASS, private enterprises, the state organizations and authorities will be able to interfere more effectively with transfer of a coronavirus and to provide safe working conditions for the employees, having implemented the system of check of the status on check points.
