Simetra will keep development of the transport system of the city of Cheboksary

2020: PTV Vissim delivery

On May 12, 2020 it became known that the Simetra company, competence center in the field of modeling of traffic flows and transport planning, delivered the software packages PTV Vissim to municipal budgetary institution "Management of Housing and Communal Services and Improvement" of the city of Cheboksary.

For us it is important to solve strategic and tactical problems of formation of city infrastructure, without creating additional negative outer effects. Working on implementation of the national project 'Safe and Qualitative Roads', we select for ourselves intelligent solutions of PTV Vissim. Use of modern software and all its opportunities will allow to cope effectively with tasks of the organization of traffic safety and also will be able to promote increase in capacity of a transport network, – the director of MBU "Management of Housing and Communal Services and Improvement" of the city of Cheboksary Oleg Belov told.

Using the software of PTV Vissim it is possible to carry out modeling at the microlevel: simulate the movement of cars and pedestrians in intersection scales, to consider their behavior. The solution allows to model networks with different node types, to estimate influence of intersections on capacity, to carry out the analysis of capacity and transport regulation on difficult transfer nodes, considering movements of city transport and pedestrians.

It is impossible to provide creation of qualitative and informative transport models without use of software products. Technologies help to project and build objects of the urban environment and a transport network which will be used by residents of the cities and agglomerations throughout long time. Investigating a status of public transport of Russia, we placed Cheboksary on the 14th place in rating. It is worthy result, and we are sure that use of profile tools will help to improve it, – Vladimir Shvetsov, the CEO of Simetra company told.
