2020: Implementing solution "1C: Transport logistics, forwarding and control of CORP motor transport"

On May 13, 2020 the 1C-Rarus company reported that PJSC Severstal at Cherepovets iron and steel works (CHERMK) implemented the program "1C: Transport logistics, forwarding and control of CORP motor transport" for accounting of work of more own and contract transport.

For May, 2020 CherMK has own motor transportation division as a part of which more than 450 pieces of equipment. In addition to use of own park the motor transportation division employs third-party transport, maintaining partnership with several tens contract transport organizations. The main objectives of motor transportation division – satisfaction of need of internal (corporate) clients for all types of transportation for what in the territory of CherMK work about 500 vehicles is every day organized.

Since 2007 as a system of accounting of motor transport the configuration "was used by 1C: Control of motor transport 8.0" 1C-Rarus developer. The functionality of the program for many years of operation considerably extended, having included various algorithms of automation of numerous unique needs of end users. It began to interfere with updating of a system releases of vendor, complicating further development of a product. Meanwhile, the enterprise in general and motor transportation division in particular develops actively and transformed, the new purposes and tasks appear. The existing configuration exhausted the potential of further development and adaptation under new needs of users. In 2019 the administration of the department of transport of PJSC Severstal made the decision to begin the project on automation of accounting of work of motor transport on the modern, technological platform "1C:Enterprise 8.3". As a basis for an accounting system the configuration "was selected by 1C: Transport logistics, forwarding and control of CORP motor transport".

The project was directed to implementation of technology innovations:

  1. the Single window of the order of transport service for corporate consumers;
  2. Distribution of orders between own and hired transport;
  3. Work planning of own transport;
  4. Digital document flow with suppliers of transport services;
  5. Cartography and satellite monitoring of transport;
  6. Self-service kiosks for delivery of waybills;
  7. Automation of pretrip medical examinations;
  8. Web interfaces 1C for customers of transport services;
  9. Mobile applications of 1C for technology personnel.


Implementation and adaptation of an information system the OOO Severstal — Infocomm Software subsidiary company with involvement of specialists executed 1C-Rarus regarding consultation on questions of methodology and the principles of work of the solution "1C: Transport logistics, forwarding and control of CORP motor transport". For May, 2020 in a system 600 users work.

Key project deliverables:

  • The single window of the order of transport service is implemented. Registration of requests for rendering transport services is performed in a system by directly internal clients that allows to reduce quantity of errors at information transfer, to exclude loss and duplication of data and also to lower load of dispatching personnel of motor transportation division, having released its resources for the qualitative solution of logistic tasks.
  • The subsystem of work planning of own transport is implemented. On the basis of the arrived requests for transport services short-term (daily) and medium-term (monthly) work planning of own vehicles is performed. The logistician distributes requests for transport services in columns of motor transportation division. A system allows to select vehicles with the corresponding characteristics under this or that customer order proceeding from his requirement and also in real time to control loading (use) of vehicle fleet. Result of planning – increase in efficiency of own vehicles.
  • Digital document flow with suppliers (contractors) of transport services is implemented. Managers of the contract transport organizations directly in a system independently plan execution of the orders transferred to them. Order processing time and the organization of transportation are optimized.
  • The cartography and monitoring of transport is implemented. Accounting of work of own and hired vehicles in a single system allows to obtain data on load of transport and drivers at any moment, to make the changes which are often arising at the time of accomplishment of orders and it is correct to estimate the volume of the performed work. There is an opportunity to quickly obtain data on actually performed work.
