2025: Building an Engineering Center for Network and Web Threat Response
Servicepipe is reorganizing its technical support department. On its basis, the Engineering Center for Response to Network and Web Threats (ICR) was created. The company announced this on August 28, 2025.
The ICR unites three units.
Network Attack Protection deals with the operational solution of cases related to L3/L4-level attacks. Web Application Protection works with web threats and botnets. These most representative units handle hundreds of cases a day, solving many operational tasks. In addition, the ICR has a web threat analysis and counteraction group that deals with non-standard, complex cases and performs expert protection configuration, performing an in-depth analysis of what is happening on the protected resource.
The main goal of the reorganization is to improve efficiency. The center will solve almost all customer problems on its own, without the need to transfer them to other departments.
| The reorganization of technical support is a fixation of changes that have been going on for about two years. Servicepipe is a vendor, and the vendor's technical support is the same product of the company as everyone else, "said Dmitry Burkalov, head of the Servicepipe ICR. - We want to get away from the stereotype that people working on scripts work in technical support, our specialists are engineers who can solve the most difficult problems, and in 24/7 mode. |

Testing of a specialized laboratory
Servicepipe on November 25, 2024 announced the launch of a specialized laboratory in 2025 that will investigate its own solutions and third-party players for the ability to withstand current cyber threats - DDoS attacks at the network and application levels.
| Servicepipe has previously conducted both stress testing of its own solutions and, at the request of customers, testing of products from third-party vendors, "said Mikhail Khlebunov, Director of Products at Servicepipe. - However, large-scale "carpet" attacks of 2024 with a constantly changing direction, the need to constantly improve our products in this regard, as well as more frequent requests from customers with a request to investigate the solutions of third-party vendors for the ability to withstand "carpet" multi-vector DDoS attacks prompted us to strengthen this direction of activity. |
The test results will be used to improve software development roadmaps and develop new protection algorithms.
For November 2024, the laboratory is operating in pilot mode, a full-fledged launch is planned in 2025.
