After a successful completion of a pilot project in 3 months with a scope of 20 jobs, replication of a system in other warehouses of the company was performed by own forces of IT service of the customer. System deployment duration on other objects was from 2 days to 1 week with the minimum involvement of specialists of TopLog company.

2012

Cooperation between the companies "TopLog" and "Komatsu of the CIS" began in 2012 with automation of the warehouse of spare parts located century Kemerovo region Russia. The decision on implementation TopLog WMS was made by the management for the purpose of creation of model of effective warehouse management and cargo handling.

Before implementation of TopLog WMS in the warehouses "Komatsu of the CIS" all branches of the company functioned in a semi-automatic mode using the program developed by own forces. Feature of warehouses of the customer – placement of a wide range of products on the small square. At the same time there was no accurate storage system of products depending on its turnover. Data collection terminals were also inefficiently used: a part of warehouse transactions was performed manually, a part – using the shipping documentation.

Within work on automation of a warehouse together with TopLog WMS 11 add-on modules of a system were started.

One of them – the module "Dashboards" – allows to monitor work of a warehouse in the online mode, to control normative deviations on process of shipment of goods and quality of the transactions executed by personnel.

The module "Dashboards" includes 4 sections: "acceptance", "placement", "packaging" and "selection". On the acceptance panel information on the orders placed in a product acceptance zone, on the number of the accepted pieces and lines contains. In the section "placement" data on the goods ready to placement on pallets are displayed. Possibilities of the selection block allow to monitor process of set of products with distribution to storage areas. The packaging panel outputs information on readiness of orders for shipment to clients with the set additional parameter – accuracy type (MD, EO, SE, SO+SP) which allows to control lag probability from the diagram. All data on business processes of a warehouse are in real time output to the plasma display panel and the monitor of the shift supervisor who, based on the available up-to-date data, can more precisely and effectively manage a warehouse.

The connected module "Automatic Preparation of the Reporting" allows to create on the preset diagram indications about key performance indicators of work of warehouses (KPI).

At the moment the warehouse management system TopLog WMS works at six geographically distributed warehouses located in Kemerovo, Yaroslavl, Khabarovsk, Yekaterinburg, Magadan and St. Petersburg. Important feature of integration of the WMS solution is functioning of all warehouses of the customer in a common information space on a remote server. Thanks to it, the staff of the central office "Komatsu of the CIS" always has access to up-to-date information on any of warehouses online.
