2020: Implementation of ITSM Box Creatio

KOMOS GROUP, one of agroholdings of Russia performing a full stroke of production of food and delivering the products to 72 regions of Russia and also to Armenia, Kazakhstan and China, implemented a management system for IT processes. It became for the company the base for process optimization of support and providing IT services and as result, increases in enterprise performance. It became known on June 8, 2020.

A number of large manufacturing enterprises at which systematic work on upgrade of technologies and increase in production efficiency is conducted is a part of Holding. In September, 2019 the OOO KOMOS GROUP company became on the way of "IT of transformation" and submitted the plan for development of the process approach to management of IT. One of strategic objectives of this plan is ensuring seamless and continuous communication with internal clients (these are 3000 users). And for achievement of this purpose at the beginning of 2020 the project on creation of an end-to-end system of IT management with parallel creation of own Call center started. For the beginning of June, 2020 we entered a stage of stabilization of information product. Thanks to a product activity in IT became transparent for our Customers. We work already on expansion of the reporting for the maximum controllability processes and personnel of management of development of IT. The next step is an automation of regulations of change management and implementation of tariffing of works and services, told Dmitry Vladimirovich Chubchenko, the deputy CEO – the head of department of development of IT KOMOS GROUP.

Key project objectives in KOMOS GROUP became:

· ensuring system approach at implementation of processes of management of IT services; · increase in effective management of IT activity; · optimization of activity of IT department during support and providing IT services; · transition to resource and financial model and regulation of work of workers of IT.

The IT Expert company working in the field of IT management and relying in the activity on the international standards and the best practices, such as ITIL, ISO 20000, COBIT and others became the contractor of the project. For creation of a system of IT management in KOMOS GROUP the IT Expert company proposed own solution ITSM box Creatio which is based on low-code to the Creatio platform from Terrasoft Russia company. And at a stage of inspection of processes already proved own methodology of IT Expert for assessment of opportunities of processes and drawing up detailed plans for their improvement was used. The results received at this stage formed the basis of the following project stages.

Within the project the IT Expert command executed design and automation of all key IT processes: from layer management of services before monitoring and event management and configuration management of services, including financial and resource models. At the same time regarding configuration management the first step at implementation of process consisted in development of a metamodel of the database of configuration units (DCU), further – the service and resource models (SRM) for the purpose of high-quality ensuring providing IT services and financial and resource models (FRM) for the cost accounting on providing services and also for determination of cost value of services.

The source noted that the designed directory of services was automated by means of the developed IT Expert of a product — Service catalog for Creatio. And integration with a monitoring system was made through Zabbix connector for Creatio, one more development of the company which approaches a monitoring system of any IT infrastructure, cloud resources, services and applications of Zabbix and also gives an opportunity to import events from Zabbix to the Creatio system with their subsequent registration and processing.

The solution ITSM box Creatio is the world practices multiplied by extensive experience of IT Expert company. We know that one of cornerstones in development of a system of IT management on large enterprises is need of operational and accurate assessment of a current status of a system of IT management, and then seamless migration and optimization of already available IT processes. Creation of a system of IT management, and in the final — start of a system, went to KOMOS GROUP including design, development, migration, functional and load testings successfully. The management system passed into a formation stage. Together with colleagues from IT Expert company we carried out not only the assessment of a status of IT processes at the beginning of the project, but also big organizational work on creation of regulations, instructions, modeling of processes of IT.
