2020: The Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications decided to start the state platform for video conference
On June 9, 2020 Maksut Shadayev told the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation about need to create the state online platform for communications which could be used for the remote equipment.
The situation revealed that video conferences there is no single effective platform at us for, for communications, unfortunately, and in many cases, really, we use foreign software solutions – such as Zoom Skype. And it is obvious that here, probably, the state should create a single platform which would support all process of communications — both in a format messengers, and in a video conferencing format — Shadayev at the chairman's meeting Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko with members of council under the President of the Russian Federation on implementation of state policy in the field of protection of family and children and with representatives of territorial subjects of the Russian Federation reported. |
The minister noted that in the conditions of a pandemic of a coronavirus of COVID-19 it became clear about existence of the whole industry of online education which needs to be saved after lifting of restrictions in the country.
According to Shadayev, in Russia there are many domestic educational digital platforms. Many of these platforms in normal life are used within programs of additional education, but could be rebuilt and provide very quickly to teachers and pupils tools and services.
And what is very important — it was often non-paid. So the industry met halfway and, understanding a crisis situation, gave everything that had to schools, often free of charge — the Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications emphasized. |
He also announced the actual formation of the new program for digitalization of the Russian schools, it, according to the head of the ministry, is going to provide in June, 2020.[1]
