Segezha Group automates information management based on "1C:MDM"

On June 10, 2020 it became known that specialists of IBS developed for Segezha Group (enters into AFK "Sistema") business process on data management and its automation based on product "1C:MDM". A uniform MDM system will simplify transition of the company to the ERP system and also integration of the available systems.

The digital product is designed to solve a problem of the consolidated accounting of all array of the normative reference information (NRI). For June, 2020 the summary nomenclature of Segezha Group contains 116 thousand records on the purchased inventory items (II) in seven regions of Russia and seven European countries and also 40 thousand records on finished goods, raw materials and semi-finished products. More than 50 thousand domestic and foreign partners cooperate with group.

Earlier on each production records were kept separately that resulted in lack of the uniform standard of maintaining reference books, incomplete descriptions and duplication of positions. Instead of separate local data the NSI centralized control system will work, uniform reference books of the nomenclature and partners are created. Implementation of the provided digital product will allow to minimize errors in business processes and to reduce labor costs by work with master data. Run business with partners, it will become more convenient to manage receivables and payables. A system will reduce load of warehouses and an overexpenditure of assets.

We designed a MDM system for automation of work with data, carried out normalization of the reference book of material resources – both finished goods, and purchased. The so-called "uniform version of the truth" - the general rules of work with data for all group and record with all attributes necessary for divisions of each of the enterprises will be stored in a System, - the director of a segment "TNP and Trade, Agro-industrial Complex" of IBS Yury Perestoronin told.

At the end of 2019 a system was brought into operation in the reference book "Partners" at the enterprises of the first stage, to the middle of February, 2020 consolidation with all systems of a corporate landscape is complete. The second phase of start ("the Nomenclature (MTR)", other financial reference books) took place at the end of April.

For the beginning of June, 2020 integration of 17 systems subscribers is performed. A MDM system is brought into operation in reference books "Nomenclature (MTR)", "Partners", in financial reference books.

All processes on maintaining NSI are built from scratch and are fulfilled in practice according to the methodology developed by IBS, in the company the culture of work with the centralized data forms, - the head of service NSI Segezha Group Christina Akopova told.

For example, to specialists of service of purchases requests with the comprehensive information began to arrive, without the need for them to consolidate, correct, approve with other services — the request receives all necessary visas when passing through a system. Also will run more conveniently business with partners, to manage receivables and payables. The load of warehouses and an overexpenditure of assets will decrease. The staff of all branches — more than 2500 users will get access to the new integrated reference book.

Integration of a MDM system with an end-to-end system of enterprise management based on SAP S/4HANA will become the next step.

Selecting microservice architecture as a basis for creation of digital model of business, we minimize risks. Such approach allows to reveal and implement in each business process the most effective technology, relevant to this process. And then it is necessary just to collect a puzzle, having created synergy between these services. Thus, at the minimum costs, the maximum effect for business[1] is reached[2].
