On June 11, 2020 it became known that the Supreme Court (SC) of the Russian Federation for the first time applied a blockchain to vote. A system which was applied in a voting process on the plenum of AF held in a remote format was developed by Kaspersky Lab company.
The system of online vote Polys from Kaspersky Lab was unrolled based on the cloud storage from Softline company, using a blockchain and transparent enciphering, TASS with reference to the press service of the Supreme Court reports.
There added that a system "got exclusively positive assessment from the management," and it will use judges of the highest judicial authority of the country and other participants of a meeting at the plenary session of Judicial council of the Russian Federation in July, 2020. To this meeting in a remote format it is going to connect the maximum possible number of representatives of the judicial system of Russia.
The plenum which took place on June 11, without exaggeration, can be considered sign for all judicial system. As well as it took place extreme two meetings using the domestic system of a web conference. With only one essential difference. Participants of a plenum for fixing of the solution used the modern system of online vote Polys — said in the Supreme Court. |
Because of COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic the plenum of AF three times took place on a video conferencing. However judges could not approve explanation because actually there was no system of remote vote.
Vote under amendments to the Constitution which starts on June 25, 2020 is also going to be carried out using technology of a blockchain. The distributed register will ensure safety and transparency of vote due to decentralization and impossibility of change of information regarding bulletins.[1]
