Rostelecom Biometric ACS

2020: Inclusion in the Unified register of domestic software

On June 11, 2020 the company "Rostelecom" reported that two digital products of the company "RT Labs" which together make a system biometric identification for control and access control (ACS) Rostelecom, Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications Russia are included by the order unified register of the domestic software (S) century Products of Rostelecom are carried to a class of information systems for the solution of specific industry tasks. ACS Rostelecom, integrated with Single biometric system, allows identify the person and it can be used for contactless pass in state and commercial organizations, on actions, in public transport.

According to the company, Biometric the ACS of Rostelecom is a solution which allows to manage an input and an exit from the premises and to ensure safety of an object. To pass through the tourniquet equipped with a complex of biometric identification it is necessary to register data in the ACS local base or a Single biometric system, after that — to approach a tourniquet and to look in the camera. At this time a biometric system identifies the person and transmits a signal to the ACS which permits pass. All procedure before opening of a tourniquet takes no more than three seconds.

The biometric solution of Rostelecom allows to keep a time recording of employees, to configure the access levels for different zones of the territory of an object, to reveal aberrant behavior using algorithms of machine learning, to limit access for potentially dangerous persons and also to increase capacity of pass through the check point. The ACS of Rostelecom can be also integrated with the complete solution of the company on high-precision non-contact control of body temperature using thermal imaging cameras of video surveillance (thermal imagers) that facilitates to the organizations observance of epidemiological requirements.

Biometric the ACS can be used for accreditation and pass of participants on actions.

Now it is not necessary before an input in office to look for the admission — a smart tourniquet itself will open doors. In the nearest future service-based biometric identification the staff of Rostelecom will be able to print, scan and copy documents in collective zones of printing, to pay goods in the vending devices and cafes located at offices of the company. We are also going to expand scope of a Single biometric system. For June, 2020 pilot projects on use of biometrics in the transport industry, MFC, retail, a notariate and some other areas are conducted.
