2020: Transfer of employees to the remote mode

On June 15, 2020 Avaya of Russia and CIS announced preparation of telecommunication infrastructure by Nornikil for transfer of call center operators and a part of other employees to a remote operation mode based on solutions and Avaya technologies.

In the conditions of a pandemic the possibility of providing qualitative "home offices" allows to minimize threat to health of employees. At the same time, fast transformation of business processes and ensuring high-quality remote communication on all channels plays a key role for preserving of efficiency of the company at the usual level.

Norilsk Nickel is the company of the Russian mining and metallurgical industry, producer of palladium and the refined nickel, is among global manufacturers of platinum, copper and cobalt. The company actively implements digital technologies of process management and the advanced managerial practicians. The IT infrastructure updated within digital transformation allowed to make a seamless and operational transfer of employees on the remote mode.

The application of corporate telephony Avaya IX Workplace became one of tools for ensuring comfortable remote work. This software solution with the single interface for audio and video calls, message exchange and content. The application gives the chance to plan conferences and to join quickly them. Being integrated with the calendar and the corporate contact list, IX Workplace collects on one screen all necessary components for communications.

At technical support from Avaya specialists of Norilsk Nickel carried out necessary improvements of the available system of communications, quickly tested it and implemented in necessary volume, at the same time having provided a possibility of further scaling of the created infrastructure as required. About 2000 employees could use the application.
