2020: Delivery of PTV Visum and PTV Vissim

On June 15, 2020 it became known that the company Simetra, competence center in the field of modeling transport of flows and transport planning, delivered To the southern Ural State University software packages PTV Visum and PTV Vissim.

Sustainable development in town-planning practice means the solution of tactical and strategic tasks of creation of city infrastructure which at the same time will not create negative outer effects in the future. Thanks to use of modern technologies, such approach allows to project and build objects of the urban environment and a transport network which will be used by many generations of citizens for long years.

The transport models created with PTV Visum help help to calculate the forecast of passenger, traffic, cargo flows and also to estimate effect of implementation of proposed solutions: constructions of outcomes, expansions of the carriageway, introduction of routes.

The software package PTV Vissim using simulation modeling at the microlevel gives the chance to continuously model in the simulation mode the movement of cars within a road network, considering the set behavioral models. Using in PTV Vissim work, the transport engineer can simulate networks with different node types, estimate influence of different forms of intersections on capacity of roads, carry out the analysis of capacity and transport regulation at difficult stops taking into account the movement of trams and buses.
