Biography

Andrey Dmitriyev was born on March 21, 1964.

Education

In 1987 Andrey graduated from faculty of the radio engineering systems of the Moscow institute of radio engineering, electronics and automatic equipment (MIREA).

Career

In 1987-1991 worked in Central Research Institute Kometa.

In 1991-1994 - in Central Research Institute EKOS.

In 1994-1999 - in ComStream Spar Aerospace.

In 1999-2001 - in NSI Communication.

In 2012-2019 Newtec took a position of the sales director and to business development in Russia and the CIS.

In 2019-2020 - ST Engineering iDirect took a position of the sales director and to business development in Russia and the CIS.

2020: Sales director of Comtech EF Data and Comtech Xicom Technology

On June 22, 2020 it became known that the American company Comtech EF Data - equipment manufacturer for satellite communication - appointed Andrey Dmitriyev the sales director in Russia and the CIS. At the same time he received the same position in Comtech Xicom Technology (this firm releases tube amplifiers for satellite communication). Both companies are included into Comtech Telecommunications Corp corporation. with the headquarters in the city of Melvill (the State of New York, the USA) and till June, 2020 were not provided in Russia. At the same time in November, 2019 Comtech Telecommunications Corp. agreed about merger of the Canadian firm UHP Networks Inc. which sisterly structure is the Russian Istar LLC - developer of the equipment of VSAT.

In this position Andrey Dmitriyev will become the conductor of our regional sales strategy and marketing. From now on for all clients and partners in Russia and the CIS he is the main contact person. Andrey will work together with Alexander Levitsky, our regional engineer.

As well as at other suppliers, - to be closer than the purpose to buyers/consumers, it is better to understand their requirements, to react to requests and also expansion of channels and total sales quicker.

The market is very perspective, despite the current deceleration in connection with epidemic and decrease in business activity. Communication will play in this situation a large role, and development of online business generates bigger traffic. Changes in structure of business regarding transfer of large volume in online will promote creation of new networks and expansion of existing.

Andrey Dmitriyev already undertook acquaintance with current affairs of the company and intends to communicate, in process of lifting of restrictions, with clients. Moscow (Russia) and Montreal (Canada) will be its main points of stay.

On November 21, 2019 Comtech Telecommunications Corp. reported that signed the purchase agreement of UHP Networks Inc company. approximately for $40 million. An important asset of UHP Networks is the Russian Istar LLC - domestic manufacturer of a ground equipment of satellite communication whose products are used by many state companies and state structures in Russia. De jure co-owners of Istar LLC are Oleg Timoshenko and Dmitry Burenkov (on 50% of shares). Comtech Telecommunications emphasized that merger of UHP Networks Inc. assumes purchase and its sisterly company and receiving all of them the intellectual rights. The transaction should be closed in the second half of 2020 financial year (will end on July 31, 2020).

For June, 2020 the issue is discussed, but it is natural that businesses of both directions are very important. All news and expected steps will be discussed with clients, but there are no changes for clients, - he reported[1].
