Mosgorlombard began to install robots for gold buying up

On July 1, 2020 it became known that Mosgorlombard brought into operation one robotic device for gold buying up. Until the end of the year the company expects to unroll 10 units of such equipment.

According to the CEO of Mosgorlombard Alexey Lazutin, installation of the zolotomat requires slightly more than 1 sq.m of the area. The device can service clients without participation of the person: he is capable to estimate, buy, sell and store products from precious metals.

However, the functionality of such devices in Russia is limited to the legislation. Identify the client all the same and the employee of a pawnshop should write out the mortgage ticket. By in electronic form it is impossible to do it only by the beginning of July, 2020.

The producer of zolotomat — T-Mobile company —  hopes that the Central Bank of the Russian Federation until the end of 2020 year will make the necessary changes to the law "About Pawnshops". Mosgorlombarda calculates that such devices from the regulatory point of view will be able independently to work.

According to Alexey Lazutin, zolotomata can occupy several tens of percent of the market of pawnshops. Demand on robots pawnshops appeared also at bank community that can significantly redistribute arrangement of forces in the market of pawnshops in the long term, he is sure.

According to the chairman of Association of development of pawnshops Sergey Sokovnikov, with such device the pawnshop will be able to save up to  1.2 million rubles a year on lease and payment of work of employees. The head of Fianit-lombard network Stanislav Boronin called "obvious minuses" of zolotomat: impossibility to estimate an art component of a product, risk of understating of test, need for the developed network of maintenance of such equipment and a concern of users to leave the jewelry in a metal box.[1]
