2020: Plans of use onboard the Rokot M rocket
The telemetric system created by specialists of Russian Space Systems holding (RKS, is included into Roskosmos State corporation), will significantly reduce weight-dimension characteristics of a rocket and costs for its preflight preparation. On July 3, 2020 reported about it to RKS.
At the third step of the easy Rokot M rocket – the Briz-KM upper stage the onboard telemetric Aster system developed by specialists of JSC Scientific and Production Association of the Measuring Equipment will be installed (NPO IT, is included into RKS).
Use of Aster will allow to reduce quantity of the telemetric systems onboard. A system will work at an extent of all cycle of preparation of a product: transportation and filling of the upper stage, preflight preparation, start – in total about two weeks.
On a complex Rokot for check of a ground equipment before start was performed "dry export" of a rocket – on a starting complex exported the first and second missile stages and a space head part, mounted and included. Using the upper stage and its electronics checked start and carried out autonomous tests. It is the expensive and labor-intensive procedure. In a complex we completely excluded this stage due to development of a special equivalent of the Aster system for check of work of all systems at a stage of preparation for start. |
Due to reduction of number of devices also the number of antennas onboard will be reduced that will affect product weight. The first flight set of Aster should be delivered in the fall of 2021.
The carrier rocket of an easy class Rokot is created according to the order of the Government of the Russian Federation and intended for removal of spacecrafts on low earth orbits. The first demonstration start-up of the carrier rocket took place on May 16, 2000. A developer and the producer of Rokot is Federal State Unitary Enterprise State Research and Production Space Center of M.V. Khrunichev.
