REPAC

REPAC (Ready-Execute-Process-Analyze-Control) is the operational model of information systems uniting three-level model of creation of information systems (planning — accomplishment – control) with the SCOR model.

It is created by AMR Research company in 1998. Actually it is the first model in which both the horizontal data stream obviously appears in a supply management chain, and vertical — between different levels of information systems.

The top level of the REPAC model ensuring functioning of a supply chain is provided ERP- and SCM- the solutions more used at the level of management companies. The production divisions operating with the concepts "product" and "order" apply generally product lifecycle management systems PLMPDM (/), control facilities of the course of technology process MES and instruments of the optimized planning (APS). The bottom level of the REPAC model is provided SCADA- systems.

The REPAC model is focused on solving of tasks, designed not only to maintain internal balance CIM PERA (), but also to correlate information from the external environment to the processes happening in all supply chain, to develop together with suppliers and clients of strategy of optimal use of resources. In its framework the fact that in the market environment not the separate enterprises, but the whole supply chains including in the structure several enterprises compete became obvious.

Principal components of the REPAC model

The REPAC model incorporated the best qualities CIM and SCOR.
  • Ready. Includes creation, improvement and preparation of production processes and also conversion of models of products or specifications in the type convenient for implementation of a new product on production.
  • Execute. Includes execution of orders or production schedules on production of products and development of processes for release of the set products.
  • Process. Includes the processes used by the enterprise for physical production, automation and control of processes.
  • Analyze. Performance, quality, possibilities of processes, compliance to standards, combination of data from different sources, data collection for ERP SCM, buyers and suppliers.
  • Coordinate. Means coordinating of operating activities of the plant with management company and a supply chain in general, optimization of activity of the enterprise for satisfaction of customer needs.
