2020: Submission of the solution for recognition of autonumbers

Hikvision and Ivideon presented a joint cloud solution for recognition of autonumbers. It became known on July 7, 2020.

Limit access to unfamiliar and permit entrance to vehicles from the "white" list, receive authentic statistics of drives of cars and duration of stay in the territory — the main objectives which can be solved using function of recognition of car numbers. If earlier for this purpose used software solutions directly on video monitoring servers, now their functions intercepted the hardware systems with support of cloud computing. One of them — Ivideon ANPR developed together with Hikvision company based on the DS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZHS IP camera.

The camera reads out number of the car and transfers him to a cloud service of Ivideon. It will correctly recognize up to 98% of numbers, and in 96% of cases truly defines also the direction of the movement of the vehicle. In a personal account of the user which is available from the PC or the notebook it is possible to create "white" and "black" lists of numbers (to only 10,000 records). On the basis of reconciliation with them the camera or permits journey — for example, lifts a barrier — or prohibits. At the same time the errors caused by a human factor are excluded plus tools for maintaining statistics and preparation of reports appear.

Hikvision DS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZHS is required less than one second to consider number of the car which moves with a speed up to 120 km/h including it detects vehicles without autonumbers and motorcycles. It became possible thanks to the large sensor with the resolution of 2 Megapixels (1920×1080 points), to the fast motorized lens and infrared illumination with a range up to 50 m.

Data which are collected by the camera are reliably stored in a cloud where well large number of filters for quick search of events. In the same place it is possible to obtain statistical information on cars, to browse records of drives and reports. It is possible to store data on any number of cameras in one user account and to get access to them from around the world. For transfer of video data the H.264 codec which squeezes initial data size that allows to lower requirements to the capacity of storage and capacity of an Internet channel is used.
