35 hospitals of Mordovia will apply a speech sensing technology from CST

2020: Plans of the implementing solution Voice2Med in 35 hospitals

On July 8, 2020 CST Group (enters an ecosystem of Sberbank) announced project implementation on voice filling of medical protocols in 35 hospitals of Mordovia.

At the heart of the solution — Voice2med, a product on the basis of artificial intelligence which allows to fill out medical documents in real time. During survey the doctor using the special microphone dictates information which is instantly decrypted and is automatically transferred to the open protocol of a medical information system.

The quality of speech recognition and connection of topic language models provide completely completed medical protocol requiring a minimum of adjustments, at once after completion of survey of the patient. Voice2med also saves time of doctors: filling of documentation with voice happens on average 22% quicker, than a traditional method. Now specialists can fill out the protocol in parallel with work on the medical equipment.

This technology began to be tested in February, 2020 in four hospitals of the region. The project was considered successful, and in July, 2020 its implementation in other medical organizations of the republic will begin. The solution will be set in 16 district hospitals and clinics of Mordovia and also in all large medical institutions of republican level and children's clinics of Saransk. The company already signed contracts with medical institutions.

Our product will correctly recognize all medical terms and expressions, and reliability of recognition reaches 97–98%. It is sure that in the long term system implementation of voice filling of medical protocols will become the effective tool not only for doctors-diagnosticians, but also for other specialists. The solution already works in departments of radiodiagnosis of city clinics of Moscow, and we welcome its scaling to regions.

Documentation of process of treatment and preparation of medical documents take away a considerable part of time allowed for inspection of the patient, even in clinics with the high level of automation. The project already showed efficiency of voice filling of medical protocols. The solution Voice2med allows to focus on the patient, but not on documents, at the same time increasing quality of information fixed in electronic medical records.
