2020: Implementation of wholesale online store

On July 7, 2020 Rustek announced implementation of wholesale online store.

Prerequisites of the Project

Due to the changing environment of the Russian market of distribution – the movement towards online customer interactions and substantial increase of efficiency of wholesale business – the management Rustek made the decision to start the project to transition from analog model of business to digital. It was important to company to save the personalized approach to customers and to optimize communication using process automation: earlier all customer interaction – before formation of price lists and exchange of documentation – came from processing of requests by phone and by mail.

Project Description

The main objective of the project key staff of the company had a collection of information about the existing business processes (as is), their classification and structuring. Collected data will become a basis of the further analysis and transition to business automation.

Analysts of TAD Development held sessions of an interview with heads of the directions and key staff of the customer, prepared descriptions and schemes of business processes, prepared recommendations about their improvement, in particular, for implementation of the ecommerce-platform. Also within the project the choice of the solution based on which start of the platform will be performed was performed.

Project Results

  • Classification of business processes by methodology of APQC is carried out.
  • The document is prepared and approved with the description of the business processes concerning marketing, sales, purchases, work with tenders, warehouse and transport logistics.
  • On each of business processes flowcharts in a notation of BPMN are prepared.
  • The gap-analysis is carried out, recommendations about further change of processes and the control algorithm are provided by changes.
  • Functional requirements to future ecommerce-platform are created.
  • The prototype of the b2b-portal and integration with the accounting system based on the boxed solution is configured.
