Sberbank implements AI model of diagnosis of a coronavirus in NMITs TO of N.N. Priorov

2020: Plans of system implementation of AI for diagnosis of a koronavirusny infection

On July 15, 2020 Sberbank reported that within research cooperation concluded about Federal State Budgetary Institution Scientific Medical Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics of N.N. Priorov Ministry of Health Russia the agreement on free connection medical of organization to the developed bank model artificial intelligence (AI) which already proved as the reliable assistant to doctors in to diagnosis of a koronavirusny infection.

The agreement was signed the vice president of Sberbank – the chairman of the Moscow bank Vyacheslav Tsybulnikov and the acting director of Federal State Budgetary Institution Scientific Medical Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics of N.N. Priorov of the Russian Ministry of Health Alexander Gubin.

In the conditions of the remaining danger of distribution in the country of a koronavirusny infection Sberbank cannot stand aside and undertakes a package of measures for counteraction to global threat and support of health workers. The implemented AI model is created by radiologists and artificial intelligence specialists on the basis of data bulks. Its implementation in clinics and hospitals considerably facilitates work to doctors, helps them to increase quality of diagnostics, so to save hundreds and thousands of lives.

Considering specifics of activity of our Center, we nevertheless, understand also our responsibility to the patients for their life and health in the conditions of the proceeding epidemic of a koronavirusny infection. For us extremely important not only to provide high-quality medical care at treatment of diseases of a musculoskeletal system, but to completely secure both personnel of the Center, and our patients against threat of distribution of COVID-19. Are sure that the implemented AI model will promote the most exact and fast diagnosing of a koronavirusny infection and initiation of efficient measures to prevention of its distribution and rescue of lives.

The AI model selects on computer the tomogram (KT) change lungs, caused by pneumonia (including because of COVID-19) and also precisely calculates the volume of these changes in relation to the volume of lungs that is important for determination of weight of course of a disease.

Earlier some more capital medical centers got access to the AI model developed by Sberbank, other similar agreements prepare. Doctors and technical specialists of these medical institutions undergo free online training in work with AI model.
