Another advantage of the solution is that when repelling attacks, the participation of company employees is not required.
Protecting T1 Cloud customers from DDoS attacks will be an important mission for us. Cloud Integration Agreement
The company StormWall cloudy provider Cloud (Cloud Technologies LLC) signed a technology partnership agreement, under which StormWall protection technology DDoS-attacks from will be integrated included in the Cloud product and service model. The goal of the partnership is to ensure reliable protection of Cloud customers from DDoS - at attacks the L3 - L7 levels. Cloud will use several provider products - a solution to protect against DDoS hacker and StormWall attacks. StormWall announced this on May 2, 2023.
According to StormWall experts, in the 1 quarter of 2023, the number of complex DDoS attacks on Russian companies increased 2 times. At the same time, hackers simultaneously launched attacks on the site, network and infrastructure of companies in order to inflict maximum harm on them. In this regard, it became necessary to use more reliable protection against DDoS attacks, which can protect Russian companies from DDoS attacks. For cloud providers, this issue was especially important, since they are more responsible for the services provided and for the stable operation of the online resources of their customers.
The StormWall DDoS protection service helps filter external traffic and ensures 24/7 availability of online resources. Filtering points are located in different geographical regions - both in Russia and abroad, in order to filter attacks closer to the sources of their occurrence. The service helps to provide protection against DDoS attacks at all levels of the OSI model, both with and without decryption of SSL. At the same time, StormWall's round-the-clock support independently controls the availability of protected resources and is ready to connect at any time to solve emergency situations, "said Alexander Karpuzikov, Cloud product manager. - The WAF extension service analyzes the operation of individual web applications and takes into account their logic of operation to timely identify and repel attacks. This is a cloud service with OPEX subscription payment, it does not require a separate infrastructure and software to deploy it. The costs of purchasing, configuring, installing, connecting and maintaining additional resources are also excluded. |
Protecting web resources will be useful for companies using the Cloud cloud structure to conduct business on the Internet: online stores, online booking services, electronic trading platforms, media, electronic payment systems, as well as government agencies and financial organizations. The service allows you to repel attacks with a capacity of up to 3500 Gbps at all levels and does not require the participation of company personnel in the process of repelling attacks.
DDoS attacks are used by hackers both to extract profit and from other motives that are not related to theft of funds. At the same time, the power of attacks is constantly increasing. All this forces companies to look for better solutions to protect against DDoS attacks. For cloud providers, customer protection is especially relevant because it is important to maintain customer confidence and a reputation as a trusted cloud service provider. We are glad to cooperate with Cloud and are ready to make every effort to ensure reliable protection of Cloud customers from DDoS attacks of any power and complexity, - said Sergey Lakhin, StormWall Commercial Director in Russia and the CIS. |
2020: StormWall System Description
As of July 2020, the StormWall system provides filtering of all existing varieties of DDoS attacks at the network, transport and session levels, as well as at the application level for HTTP (s )/Websocket traffic).
The three-level Triple Filter filtering system is designed in such a way that illegitimate traffic from packet generators cannot even theoretically go through and affect the client server. Thanks to the BanHammer HTTP flood filtering system, bots during an attack are automatically detected and weeded out from the stream of real users without interfering with their work.
Points of presence in Russia, the USA and Europe provide minimal delay for customers from Russia, CIS, Europe, Asia and America, processing traffic closer to the client.
Characteristics of the StormWall network:
- About More than 2 Tbit/s of bandwidth without a connection check (stateless) - processing IP packets at the ACL/FlowSpec level without checking a TCP connection (blocking TCP/UDP amplification);
- More than 600 Gbps of bandwidth with stateful - each incoming TCP connection is processed and analyzed;
- The added delay time during traffic proxying is from 0 to 100 ms. In the case of proxying HTTP traffic due to the use of persistent HTTP connections, as well as HyperCache caching, an increase in the speed of the protected service is possible;
- The number of protected sites, IP, data centers and services is not limited.
