Education

Graduated from pediatric faculty of the Sverdlovsk medical institute. Upon termination of an internship on children's surgery several years worked in Tavda as the general surgeon.

Biography

2020: Appointment as the Minister of Health of Sverdlovsk region

At the end of July, 2020 Andrey Karlov is appointed the new Minister of Health of Sverdlovsk region. The former chief physician of children's hospital No. 9 of Yekaterinburg succeeded Andrey Tsvetkov. The governor of Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev reported about it on the page in Instagram.

Today I signed decrees on staff changes in a health care system of Sverdlovsk region. As I already told, we decided to be engaged in creation of a uniform digital health care system, having integrated databases of Yekaterinburg and the region. Andrey Tsvetkov who worked as the Minister of Health of Sverdlovsk region before will deal with this responsible issue in the status of my adviser — Kuyvashev wrote.

The governor thanked the Tsvetkov holding a position since December, 2017 for work as the minister and also expressed confidence that Karlov "will perfectly cope with new duties on a post of the head of department".
