Management of JSC Mosenergo in 2008 initiated the three-year program "Changes of Standards of Management and Implementation of CIS" which purposes are implementation of the principles of process management, and also resource management systems of the company on the basis of SAP ERP. The single platform is designed to replace the numerous information systems functioning in each branch for increase in efficiency and accuracy of the information within all Company.
"From the very beginning of work we had two large problems — the CEO of the company Vitaly Yakovlev tells. — the First — absolutely inefficient process of purchases. The second — strangely enough, repairs. We were categorically dissatisfied with quality of planning of repairs and, if I may say so, their blindness. We had no available information on earlier made repairs on the specific equipment, about failures, parameters of its work". Both of these problems were going to be solved with the automation help.
The Forcing project became the first stage of the program. As the new information system meeting requirements of business the SAP ERP system which allowed to perform complex automation of the main business processes in the Company was selected. On the basis of the SAP solutions BI the scalable business intelligence and the complex of the reporting necessary for acceptance of management decisions were created.
The project started in February, 2009 and was fully completed 11 months later – by January, 2010. After three months of active user support at commercial operation of a system, at the beginning of April, 2010 the decision to recognize an implementation project successfully complete was made.
As a result in the Company SAP solutions for process management of purchases, inventory management, sale, management accounting and budgeting, accounting and tax accounting, investments, the liquidity management and crediting were implemented.
The project team was created by consultants of Deloitte company which was selected by the contractor on the project and also the staff of project office on implementation of the Corporate information system of Mosenergo.
After implementation of the SAP ERP and SAP BI systems the Mosenergo company got a number of valuable advantages. In addition to transparency in the main business processes, the company had an opportunity of use of the uniform reference book of materials and the reference book by the partners created in the project progress, completely passed to electronic approval of agreements into SAP and improved the procedure of internal control.
