2020: FTS will receive online access to accounting and tax statements of medium business
On August 20, 2020 it became known that the Federal Tax Service (FTS) will receive the online access to accounting and tax statements of the companies representing medium business. Corresponding amendments to the Tax Code are made by the Ministry of Finance.
According to Vedomosti, by August 20, 2020 tax monitoring when business provides to tax specialists remote access to the accounting and tax statements on the Internet, is used only for control of the largest companies (with annual revenues and assets to 3 billion rubles and tax payments to 300 million rubles a year) – such opportunity for them was entered in 2015.
The Ministry of Finance will increase number of the companies connected to a system, having included at what annual revenues and assets do not exceed 1 billion rubles in the list, and the amount in a year of the paid taxes is up to 100 million rubles. About 200 Russian companies, reported in the publication of the edition fall under such criteria.
The companies voluntarily provide to service access to the data and if there are risks of violations of the law, tax recommends them to eliminate. The enterprises will not fine for violations, only if they are not criminal. A system allows to lower and simplify document flow.
Besides, FTS will be able not to check millions of transactions which are made by business quarterly, and to monitor only separate high-risk transactions.
FTS counted that on average the volume of the documents submitted in response to requirements of tax authorities within cameral and exit tax audits of the largest payers is more than 9.4 million sheets and 12 thousand electronic files a year.
According to FTS, in 2020 tax monitoring of the reporting is conducted for 95 largest companies, including 48 companies with the state participation.[1]
