2020: The announcement of Google Fundo - service of paid online actions for bloggers and entrepreneurs
In the middle of September, 2020 Google started Fundo service which allows bloggers and entrepreneurs to hold paid virtual meetings. Service provides to creators an easy way to hold different online actions, providing stream video, payment processing and a hosting in exchange for which Google receives 20% an income share.
Initially Fundo was started in the limited beta mode in the summer of 2019 for several hundred "the entrusted testers", but now became available to all. To hold an event, the blogger needs to select his type, to appoint date and time and to specify the cost of the ticket. The user sees the list of all actions on the website, is registered that it were pleasant to it, and transfers money to the organizer.
The idea of holding paid online actions with tickets purchased special popularity against the background of a pandemic of COVID-19 which forced to pass a great number of organizers into a digital medium. At the same time about 30 people can participate in a chat of Fundo. The blogger manages a conversation and if the participant violates rules, blocks him. The service transfers money to bloggers and entrepreneurs after an action, keeping the commission.
A month earlier similar service was started also by Facebook company. This service allows brands to create an action with tickets worth from $1 to $100 and to advertize it directly in social network. To support small business, Facebook will not charge the fee for holding paid actions within a year. However Apple refused to cancel the commission in 30% in the IOS-APPLICATIONS and prohibited payment acceptance through Facebook Pay. Therefore small business will receive only 70% of income from the online actions held on the Facebook platform if is not able to display means through Facebook Pay from the web version of social network and with Android devices.[1]
