The VisionLabs company announced on September 18, 2020 TAdviser that together with network of automatic gas stations of self-service Flash started a contactless payment system of Flash ID – for refueling the car to look in the camera of the payment terminal enough. Service is already available at one of stations in Rostov-on-Don. This function is implemented using the platform of computer vision and video analytics of Luna of VisionLabs company.

An opportunity to make purchases by "one look" can be connected in settings of mobile application Flash Pay. The user is offered to take a selfie, thereby having registered the person in a system and to link the bank card to these data. Then at the gas station he will be able already to pay gas station just having looked in the camera of the authorization terminal.

At customer service of gas station of video from the camera it is transferred to the VisionLabs Luna platform. She detects the person and selects the best frame from which the descriptor is taken. It is compared to base registered in the application. At coincidence a system begins refueling the car. All process takes read seconds. During identification the Liveness technology developed by VisionLabs is also used. Thanks to it swindlers cannot use images or videos of other people.

The contactless payment system considerably reduces holding time, so saves time of drivers, helps to avoid big queues and in general improves client experience. At VisionLabs big examination on similar projects is saved already up, especially often they meet in retail, — told Ilya Romanov, the commercial director of VisionLabs.

By means of implementation of a contactless payment system, we represent the product Flash ID developed by the company Overk — told Alexey Frolov, the founder and the owner of Flash group.

Payment start "on the person" is an expansion of the existing service of purchase of fuel through mobile application of Flash Pay. It appeared in 2019 and allowed clients of gas station to fill the car in several stages.

Scaling of the Flash ID project is supposed on all network Flash gas Station. For September, 2020 in operation there are 38 automatic gas stations in three regions of Russia, and 2020-2021 will be constructed to year fifteen more in the Rostov and Voronezh region and also in Krasnodar Krai.
