The processing of payments on cards of the Mir payment system with the support of the domestic Java platform Axiom JDK, one of the elements of the functioning of the services of the National Payment Card System, has accelerated 2.5 times. According to representatives of the NSPK, this is especially important on the eve of the New Year holidays. Daily clearing of NSPK, the operator of the Mir PS, processes more than 50 million interbank transactions on national payment cards - the same number of operations took place during the critical periods of 2021.

Optimization and testing of clearing improvements by the World Plat.form (NSPK IT brand) specialists lasted for two months. Among the updates are the use of more productive algorithms, for example, a quick search for service meta-information about the card by its token, the effective use of server power by using parallel and competitive transaction processing. In addition to improvements in the software part, large server capacity was allocated for the system, which together allowed to increase the number of transactions processed.

According to Vladimir Troyanovsky, Deputy General Director of the National Payment Card System, the number of card transactions is growing, and therefore there is a need to optimize clearing.

"The main tasks facing the clearing system are the processing of a large data stream, the accuracy of calculations and the quality of the final archive data. Initially, the system was designed under one load, but over the past few years the number of operations on all cards, including Mir, has been constantly increasing, our market is growing. We decided to act ahead of the curve and optimized the operation of the system so that it can cope effectively in high load conditions, "said Vladimir Troyanovsky.
