2021: Optimizing the execution of production orders
On September 28, 2021, 1C announced that Institute of Model Solutions experts automated the operation of the Impress Art production company. The implementation of 1C: ERP Enterprise Management and the barcode system helped organize the operational management of the warehouse. The production of raw materials is optimized , control over its consumption and quality at all stages of the technological cycle is strengthened, traceability of batches is ensured. The planning of the work of the production departments was optimized, the load of equipment in the workshops was optimized. Orders in production accelerated by 15%.
According to the company, previously the company used disparate programs and spreadsheets for regulated accounting, warehouse management and production. Separate , unrelated, item guides were used in the warehouse, shop floor, purchasing department, and accounting department. It was difficult to control the movement of materials and semi-finished products between warehouses and production workshops, to plan and control production.
The company needed a unified information system for all departments, which would help organize the operational accounting of raw materials and finished products, ensure the traceability of their batches, and strengthen control over the execution of production operations and the consumption of materials.
To solve the tasks, the 1C: ERP Enterprise Management system was chosen. The implementation partner was the Institute of Standard Solutions - Production (ITRP), which has the status of 1C: ERP Center and has been specializing in automation of production enterprises for more than 20 years.
Key project outcomes:
- Production interfaces have been developed that allow employees to register transactions online.
- A barcode system has been implemented taking into account series of items, automated printing of labels for marking. Products, semi-finished products and materials at the enterprise are mainly presented in the form of rollers, each of which is an indivisible unit of storage of ilogistics. When a roller is moved between production shops and warehouses, its barcode is scanned using the data collection terminal. Online information is captured in the system. As a result, operations were optimized in the areas of flexography, offset printing and extrusion, including the formation of series, their placement in cells, shipment by order, transfer to production or another warehouse, return of unspent residues from production, acceptance from the extrusion workshop. There have been fewer errors entering data into the system. Traceability of batches from raw materials to finished products is ensured.
- Automated quality control of materials and semi-finished products. The system records the inspection of materials and semi-finished products in the quality control department and prohibits the release of materials that have not passed such inspection. The speed of registration of control procedures has increased, materials and semi-finished products are transferred faster to the next stage of the technological cycle.
- Automated control of raw material consumption in production. This task is now accomplished using specialized interfaces for warehouse workers. This has helped to avoid cross-sorting in production, reduce consumption deviations (excess consumption, consumption of the wrong material).
- Accurate calculation of the cost of semi-finished products in each production area is provided. This helps to control the change in value at each stage of production and identify reserves to optimize costs.
As a result of working together with Institute of Model Solutions experts, we received positive results in our production. Optimized order execution speed. Thanks to the prompt entry of reliable data into 1C: ERP, the interaction of employees of different departments was simplified, transaction costs were reduced: they optimized the activities of various services for accounting for product production and accounting for production operations. The work does not need to duplicate data in different systems, and the phased introduction of data in different areas allows you to accumulate more information about products for quality control. noted Anatoly Solomennikov, Executive Director of Impress Art LLC |
2020: Implementation of "1C: ERP Enterprise Management"
The main goal of the project was to improve the quality, reliability and efficiency of information for management decisions.
The results of the project are as follows:
- Labor costs for the operational accounting of materials and products have been repeatedly reduced, the accuracy of traffic and balance data has significantly improved;
- Automation of bar coding with support for the uniqueness of nomenclature series allowed to ensure complete transparency and traceability of batches in production;
- Specialized interfaces for AWS in production made it possible to organize automated control of raw material consumption to eliminate errors with re-sorting and reduce deviations in consumption;
- Prompt and reliable management reporting for decision-making has become possible.
The industrial operation of the first stage began in the summer of 2019, about fifty jobs were automated.
