In Far Eastern Federal University passes test of an automated system of thermometry. It became known on September 28, 2020.

One of the main tasks which faces educational institutions against the background of a pandemic of a koronavirusny infection is a providing the comfortable and safe environment for pupils and teachers. Far Eastern Federal University for September, 2020 handles an issue of upgrade of an end-to-end system of security on the objects taking into account requirements for ensuring sanitary security.

As a basis for a thermal control system the stationary thermal imager for contactless temperature measurement of a body was selected. The device allows to carry out thermometry in a big flow of people less than in 0.5 seconds, measuring at the same time up to 30 people in a frame. Use of the thermal imager allowed the management of DFVU to solve a problem of big accumulations of people and queues on an input that is especially relevant for such large object as the Far Eastern Federal University – on average through one checkpoint passes up to 12-15 thousand people.

The device is the two-spectral thermal camera from Hikvision company, the switch and "a black body" (temperature calibrator) which increases measuring accuracy to 0.3 ℃. Using fiber unit and intellectual video analytics the camera independently "finds" a human face in a frame, and then by means of the thermovision sensor takes measurement in a control point on a forehead. Such approach allows to avoid false operations of the thermal imager which usually cause glasses with hot drinks and other warm objects. Measurement is performed in completely automatic mode at distance to several meters to the person. At the same time the mask on the person does not interfere with the process of thermometry.

If results of measurements exceed the set regulation, the sound signal works and also in the general system the disturbing notification appears. When receiving such signal the security guard takes additional measurement using the medical equipment or directs the person to medical examination. The source specified that in DVFU persons with symptoms of infectious diseases will not be allowed (the increased temperature, cough, cold).

For September, 2020 tests of the thermal camera on an input are carried out to body C. At a successful completion of a pilot project thermovision systems will be installed on inputs to other academic and administrative buildings.
