myQuiz VR Experience forms a basis for creation of quests in the virtual space configured under the customer's requests. The project transfers tools of web service for creation and holding quizzes of myQuiz to virtual reality, allows to hold an intellectual game on search of answers to questions through interaction with objects.

Project task — the help to brands in promotion of the innovation products through the story about them in playful way. The solution is customized according to requirements of the customer to content (subjects of questions, subject and the atmosphere of space).

As a game is modelled:

  • 1. The customer selects stylistics of the game world and objects for interaction.
    • For example, the audience is had to the futuristic city or aboard the spaceship with the integrated branding.

  • 2. The space is finalized, content is added.

    • Using the ready engine of a game, the required style is created and objects for interaction are selected, game questions, videos and, if necessary, three-dimensional objects are added (a 3D model of products of the company, etc.).

  • 3. A game is transferred to the customer to unlimited use.

    • One game can be played repeatedly due to randomization of a gameplay (the mechanic for receiving the answer: interaction with objects, connection, destruction, firing); it is easy to add new questions independently.

Technical features:

  • myQuiz VR Experience is created the Unreal Engine 4 engine. The game logic is implemented in language C ++ and the scripting BlueprintGraphs language which is built in Unreal.
  • Work in ecosystems of virtual reality of SteamVR, Oculus, Windows Mixed Reality is supported. Work without VR devices in 3D - the mode is possible.
  • Interaction with the server is implemented through WebSockets using SignalR library which is connected to the engine through specially created plug-in. Process of authorization of the user is implemented through custom a vrapper of Curl library (as solution of the problem of Unreal Engine 4 with processing 302 answers).
  • For performance improvement in a game the instantsirovanny geometry, textural atlases and object pooling is used.
  • Interaction with objects is implemented via the physical PhysX engine.
