Introduction

Also requirements of information security regarding creation of network infrastructure, segmentation, certification of networks and DPC in general contribute significantly, - Vladimir Leonov, the technical director of AMT Group says about principal directions structural transformations of technologies of DPC.


Artem Kuznetsov, the head of economical service of ARBITEK (AiTeco Group) company emphasizes gain of a role of telecommunication infrastructure in the changing DPC:

He notes the stable growth of number of such DPCs. According to him, today each new commercial DPC in Moscow is filled with client racks of all in a year. Until recently on it 3-4 years were required.

At the same time fundamental differences between these types of data processing centers not only at the level of business objectives, but also technology approaches are more and more clearly shown.

According to Alexey Malyshev, the founder and the CEO of SONET company, all modern changes in the field of DPC are caused by desire to increase density and installed power per employee of servers. New more powerful/hot processors turn out to be consequence of this desire, technologies of hyper convergence develop, switches with kilowatt power supplies are created, and all this then is stamped in denser packing. Exactly here, according to the expert, one of the main today's problems in construction of DPC is shown: when installing the modern dense equipment heat release of a rack can reach 20 – 25 kW whereas the standard DPC is expected 5-7 kW on a rack.

Therefore we should select: build qualitatively new DPCs (with water cooling and interline conditioners) or to fill racks no more than on a third, - Alexey Malyshev reflects. - If we build own DPC, then we are able to afford "to fill not completely" its racks. But if we rent capacities, we should rent bigger quantity of thin racks that will lead to increase in OPEX.


In practice, Malyshev tells, and occurs:

Most of customers who build for "themselves"", is used by old technologies that allows them to reduce construction cost. And competitive advantage of the commercial DPCs selling or leasing units is existence of the engineering infrastructure capable "digest" big heatpackets of servers.


These fundamental differences of different types of DPC connected with their business challenges are imposed on the powerful trends of conversions operating in the field of DPC at the global level and complemented with specific trends of the local market.
