2020: A pilot project on application "Tsels. Mammography"
In the Bryansk region the results of a pilot project on use of service based on artificial intelligence technologies "are summed up of Tsels. Mammography". The experiment was made based on GAUZ "Bryansk City Clinic No. 5". On October 14, 2020 the company Medical screening of a system reported about it.
Tsels represents support system of adoption of medical solutions. It is capable to analyze digital medical pictures and to find in them the slightest symptoms of pathologies, including oncology at early stages. For October, 2020 service works in four directions of diagnostics: mammography, fluorography, patomorfologiya and computer tomography of lungs.
The pilot project was designed to estimate efficiency of use of artificial intelligence in early diagnosis of pathologies. As the main tested direction mammography as detection of a breast cancer at the first stage allows to save life and health of the patient in 95% of cases was selected.
The artificial intelligence performed "second reading" — i.e. in addition analyzed pictures with which the radiologist worked.
During pilot tests service in total processed 704 mammographic researches. It detected implicitly expressed signs of pathological changes in 62 patients. Being guided by these data, the doctor appointed additional inspections to 15 patients. At 14 of them good-quality new growths were revealed, one patient has a breast cancer at the I stage. Early diagnosis and absence of metastases allowed to begin necessary treatment timely.
