2020: The announcement of ImmersiveView Surgical Plan (IVSP) - the VR platform for planning of transactions by stomatologists

In the middle of October, 2020 the software developer for surgical planning of ImmersiveTouch submitted the VR platform of digital surgery ImmersiveView Surgical Plan (IVSP). It is intended for stomatologists and maxillofacial surgeons.

According to the supplier, IVSP allows surgeons to model transaction and to carry out 3D - printing of surgical buses and templates for the specific patient. 3D models and services of surgical planning are very expensive and take away a lot of time. Thanks to IVSP surgeons will be able to plan operations with the own diagram and quicker, than normal services of virtual surgical planning.

The ImmersiveView Surgical Plan (IVSP) VR platform for planning of transactions by stomatologists and maxillofacial surgeons is started

According to ImmersiveTouch, using the Oculus headset and manual controllers surgeons will be able independently to plan the transaction course, studying anatomic features of the patient, the vital structures and deformations. In case of need biomedical engineers of ImmersiveTouch will provide online consultations that will allow to reduce planning duration to 75%.

The platform includes services in planning of reconstructive transactions, transactions in the field of orthodontics and temporal and mandibular joint operations. All three-dimensional anatomic models, surgical buses and templates are printed on the 3D-printer after the online session of planning and can be used both by preparation for transaction, and during it.

This technology not only will help the surgeon to be prepared, predict and plan any potential complication, but also will improve results of treatment of patients due to reduction of risk of complications, reduction of time of transaction and providing more individual care. All this is reached due to use of virtual reality and 3D - printings, - the maxillofacial surgeon Joseph Krajekian claims.[1]
