D-Wine automated businesss-processes using "1C: ERP WE"

2020: Implementation "1C: ERP WE"

On October 13, 2020 the D-Wine company announced project completion of reengineering and complex process automation using the international version "1C: ERP WE" (World Edition). As a result of D-Wine it was succeeded to reduce costs for the rendered services and for 50% by 15% to cut down administrative expenses.

According to the company, at some point the management of D-Wine came to a conclusion that the further growth and development of the company are impossible without complex automation of basic processes. Besides, it was required to change approaches to business management, detailed management accounting became necessary, it was required to minimize internal bureaucracy and as much as possible to reduce paper document flow, the basic routine processes needed to be shifted in an information system for minimization of labor costs.

The information system had to help employees to reach the following level of corporate development. It was required that all specialists participating in trade processes could react most quickly to the slightest deviations and problems, to quickly solve them for maintenance of a customer loyalty to provide efficiency of the company and business development.

It is difficult to carry out serious changes in the organization of management without modern ERP system. The company management did a great job at the choice of the suitable software product. Local Spanish developments were considered, but their functionality was limited and did not cover requirements of business of D-Wine. In the analysis of the ERP system of the European producers it became clear that will adapt them for features of business processes of the company it is difficult and labor-consuming.

Very flexible system which would support the organizational moments was required for D-Wine company functional and at the same time and could develop with business growth. Therefore it was decided to consider the Russian development – "1C: ERP Enterprise Management".

For studying of "1C:ERP" by specialists of 1C the model – a prototype of an information system was prepared. At once the possibility of fast adaptation of the software product under requirements of business, a user-friendly interface in English, broad functionality and available cost of licenses was mentioned. A choice was made for benefit of "1C:ERP", the Rice company, the official partner of 1C Company became the partner in implementation.

Originally the project started on the 1C:ERP version for Russia, then, from the moment of a release of the beta of an international supply "1C: ERP WE", was translated to this configuration. During the project the basic operational processes were automated: rendering services, implementation, purchases, prescription production. The special focus was on accounting of material, labor, administrative costs.

On a result of reorganization of processes and their automation it was succeeded to reduce by 15% costs on the rendered services, to cut down administrative expenses for 50%, and the turnover in warehouses was increased by 15%. Within the financial block intra group transactions, the management reporting and the main regulated reporting according to the legislation of Spain and the European Union were automated.

A system based on "1C: ERP WE" was transferred to maintenance and further development of D-Wine company. Further development of the project in the field of planning and forecasting of sales is planned.
