Thanks to this subsidy, entrepreneurs will be able to work on the marketplace for the first time completely free, saving several tens of thousands of rubles: the platform will not take payment for the delivery of the first 100 orders and does not take a commission for the sale of the first 100 goods.
Sellers using services for the storage or delivery of goods from a partner AliExpress Russia - the company "Tsainiao" will be able to take advantage of the delivery subsidy. Sending the first 100 orders will be free regardless of the number of items in the order (if the total weight of the order does not exceed 30 kg). Delivery rates for the following orders will be standard for AliExpress: in most cases, the seller will pay 69 rubles (excluding VAT) for the delivery of an order weighing up to 2 kg to anywhere in the country. Such a tariff includes subsidies from the marketplace and Tsainiao, which allow sellers to save up to 50% of the cost compared to other modes of delivery.
AliExpress began subsidizing Russian sellers in 2020, canceling the commission for the sale of the first 100 goods. Since then, more than 25 thousand companies have used support from the marketplace. As of March 2021, more than 35 thousand Russian stores were placed on the AliExpress, in which more than 5.5 million goods are presented.
AliExpress develops as a real marketplace: we do not dictate to sellers at what price and at what discount to sell. In addition, in 2020 we introduced a number of measures to support Russian entrepreneurs, including reducing the commission, fixing tariffs for delivery and subsidizing logistics. And the local part of the marketplace is growing very quickly: the number of Russian sellers has grown 7 times, and the share of local stores in the turnover of the site has increased 2.5 times in a little more than a year. In 2021, we do not change course: our priorities remain supporting small and medium-sized businesses, expanding the local assortment and accelerating delivery, "comments Dmitry Sergeev, CEO of the Russian AliExpress. |
Supporting and developing small businesses is for us one of the main vectors of development for the coming year. Thanks to the package of measures that we provide to sellers from all over the country, access to marketplaces will become even more affordable and convenient. Already in February 2021, when working with our services, small businesses can save up to half of the cost of logistics. At the same time, small enterprises can use the entire range of services that are available for large retail: from deliveries to pedestals to sorting in regional warehouses. In 2021, our additional investments in the development of projects for sellers will exceed a billion rubles, "comments Vyacheslav Savin, CEO of Tsainiao in Russia. |
