Rosatom and Rostelecom started the IT project on centralized operation by access to information systems

2020: Creation of a system of centralized operation by accounts and rights

PJSC Rostelecom and Rosatom State Corporation within the signed memorandum of cooperation started the joint project on creation of a System of centralized operation by accounts and user rights to information resources of state corporation. On October 21, 2020 Rostelecom reported about it.

In perimeter of a system it is going to include all enterprises of Rosatom in which for October, 2020 more than 250 thousand employees work. The project is implemented Rostelecom-Solar company which enters a cluster of information security of Rostelecom, and JSC Greenatom — IT integrator of Rosatom. The developed solutions are entered in the register of domestic software.

As a result of creation of a system the Rosatom state corporation will be able to automate lifecycle of accounts of employees as much as possible: from providing access to necessary resources when hiring to their response at dismissal. Uniform requirements of security policy and routes of approval when providing access to corporate systems will be distributed to all enterprises and the organizations of state corporation. As a result of project implementation production processes which provided these functions earlier will be optimized that will allow to lower routine load of IT administrators and, as a result — to increase efficiency of their work. Besides, within the project it is going to create competence center on creation and development of a system based on JSC Greenatom.

Telling about security as about one of key values of Rosatom, it is impossible to forget about the IT sector and safety of information. The joint project with Rostelecom will promote not only increase in level of information security of nuclear sector, but also acceleration, simplification and automation of providing access rights. So, will help to optimize our resources, releasing time of users. It is also important to note that we create a technological domestic product which implementation will raise an importonezavisimost of nuclear sector. It is sure, cooperation of Rosatom and Rostelecom will allow to create the perspective solution with high potential for implementation of business projects — the director of the department of information technologies of Rosatom State Corporation Evgeny Abakumov told.

The project of such scale is always a professional call, but we are sure of success, and in many respects — thanks to the involvement and deep technical competences of colleagues from IT and cybersecurity department of Rosatom. The project on creation of the uniform centralized control system of access rights is impossible without deep immersion how processes of the organization at the moment, without understanding of business need of the customer which pushes him to building of routes of interaction and cooperation in technical issues of integration of the platform into infrastructure of the organization are arranged. On this way the importance of effective partnership with the customer cannot be revaluated — the vice president of Rostelecom for information security Igor Lyapunov emphasized.
