2020: Death from COVID-19

On October 26, 2020 the chief physician of city hospital No. 20 of Rostov-on-Don Yury Dronov died. The press service of Legislative Assembly of the Rostov region reported about it.

According to a source "Rostov", a cause of death of the 59-year-old deputy the koronavirusny infection became RBC. That Dronov was treated for COVID-19, reports 161.ru. According to the edition, recently he was on the mend, managed the minimum oxygen support. According to rostovgazeta.ru, at the beginning of October, 2020 it was sent to intensive care unit of own hospital with severe damage of lungs.

The fact of death is confirmed. He died in regional hospital No. 2 this morning. What died of until to tell it will turn out: it is necessary to wait for the diagnosis — told RBC in the press service of hospital.

Some days before Dronov's death a number of media was reported that several patients of city hospital No. 20 of Rostov-on-Don choked during a long pause in supply with oxygen.

According to the 161.ru edition, five people died in resuscitation, and some more — in the general department of hospital. One of sources in a health care system told journalists that there was constantly not enough oxygen in hospital, and on October 12 it was not two hours in a row on all floors.

The management of health care of Rostov-on-Don confirmed data on the death of 13 patients, but did not state its reason, having urged to wait for results of examination. Regional Roszdravnadzor and gorzdrav and also Investigative Committee was announced conducting checks. The city authorities at the same time disproved the fact of death because of emergency situations with oxygen.

The governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev charged to the ministry of the industry of the region and the regional Ministry of Health to understand requirements and problems with supply of oxygen to hospitals of area.^[1][2]
