Simetra equipped SIBADI with the academic version of the software package PTV Vision Traffic Suite

2020: Equipment by the PTV Vision Traffic Suite complex

The Simetra company, competence center in the field of modeling of traffic flows and transport planning, announced on October 26, 2020 equipment the Siberian state automobile and road university (SIBADI) the academic version of the software package PTV Vision Traffic Suite on 100 jobs.

The software will be used as in educational process for training of generation of the Russian transport engineers, and in scientific practical activities of university. In particular, the PTV software products will allow representatives of SIBADI to be prepared for submission of applications for participation in projects on development of the complex schemes of the organization of traffic (CSOT) of the Russian cities.

SIBADI more than four years in dialog with specialists of SIMETRA company – a team of transport engineers in country scales. In the fall of 2020 we carried out the first laboratory works on transport modeling using software of PTV Vissim entering a packet of PTV Traffic Suite. It is a good backlog for implementation of a complex of joint projects: scientific management had an opportunity to prepare for requests on KSODDY, and at department – to bring up own personnel, – Alexander Zhigadlo, the rector of SIBADI told.

The Siberian state automobile and road university (SIBADI) — the innovation focused higher educational institution in Omsk which trains specialists of the transport industry in internal and correspondence forms, including using instruments of e-learning. The university carries out scientific researches in 12 directions, including investigates the transport systems of the cities and regions and also deals with issues of mathematical modeling, management and information processing in the industry and transport.

Creation qualitatively of the level of logistic infrastructure is impossible without training, and it is difficult to provide success in project implementation of transport planning and modeling without use of technologies. One of important on tasks — "raise" generation of competent transport engineers. Already through quite short time their demand will strongly increase in economy, – Vladimir Shvetsov, the CEO of SIMETRA company noted.
