2020: Implementation of the thermovision equipment
Konica Minolta completed the project on installation of the thermovision equipment at the St. Petersburg state polytechnical university of Peter the Great. It became known on November 11, 2020. As a result, temperature control on average there undergo about 14 thousand students, employees and visitors of the university a day.
The project of installation of a thermovision complex in SPBGPU consisted of two stages: testings and scalings of a system. At the first stage specialists of Konica Minolta installed the equipment on a checkpoint of one of academic buildings. After that the decision to expand a system and to unroll it on inputs of the majority of the body was made.
The set complex consists of 15 Mobotix M16 thermal imaging cameras, the software of Mobotix Management Centre for maintaining the magazine of temperature and display of alarms, 15 standards of absolutely black body and also 14 automated jobs.
We considered several options and decided to stop the choice on Mobotix equipment. Testing helped us to be convinced of its quality and accuracy of identification of people with the increased temperature – and consequently and to draw conclusions on need of further scaling of a system, – Maxim Pasholikov, the vice rector for information and social work of the St. Petersburg state polytechnical university of Peter the Great notes. – Thermal imagers helped us to fulfill the requirements the SanPiN and Rospotrebnadzor, but the main thing – now we are sure that we can ensure safety of students, teachers and staff of the university. |
In general the thermovision complex allows to take automatically and remotely temperature of people on an input to the premises. Temperature monitoring is carried out in a zone of the plaintive channel that allows to reduce the probability of false indications. At detection of temperature above preset values the device sends a disturbing signal that allows to prevent the admission of people with the increased temperature to premises SPBGPU.
During project implementation it was necessary to face a number of calls. For example, inputs in the body of the university had different construction. It affected convection which is of great importance at temperature measurement. Therefore our specialists individually set up and calibrated the equipment, – Sergey Gotalsky, the head of department of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Russia in the Northwestern Federal District comments. – However we managed to achieve positive results: for November, 2020 godp monitoring of temperature on inputs goes to the university with a speed of 2 people per second that allows to avoid accumulations of people and saves time of responsibles. |
