The Mobotix company is founded in 1999 and creates products for ensuring complex security and video surveillance. In 2017 the company declared a priority of cyber security of the solutions. Developments of the company include IP cameras with high degree of reliability, the software for management of record of video, analytical products, technologies of compression of video data and the analysis of images.

• In March, 2016 Konica Minolta, Inc. announced purchase of 65% of stocks of Mobotix.
• In 2017 in the Russian division of Konica Minolta the separate direction on sales of solutions of Mobotix was created.
• Began with spring of 2018 of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Russia sales of intelligent systems of video surveillance and solutions based on technologies of Internet of Things (IoT) of Mobotix company. 2020: Growth of sales volume of thermal imagers in April for 500%

On May 6, 2020 the Konica Minolta company reported to TAdviser that monthly sales of Mobotix video cameras with technology of thermal radiometry of TR in April, 2020 grew by 500% in comparison with an indicator of April, 2019. The company recorded the unprecedented growth of amount of requests for devices which allow to take temperature of people and objects at distance.

Sales of Mobotix thermal imagers flew up for 500%

At assessment of rates of a gain sales of the cameras Mobotix M16 Thermal, S16 Thermal, S16 DualThermal and S16 PTMount Thermal with technology of thermal radiometry of TR developed for temperature measurement of objects were considered. Devices send a special signal according to the scenario if temperature of an object is higher or lower than the set regulation. On the image of the thermovision sensor it is possible to configure up to 20 independent areas and to appropriate them certain scenarios of reactions. At the same time thermal imagers are not replacement to the medical equipment and do not cancel need of survey at the doctor if temperature increase of the person is recorded.

For the first time we came up against a situation when production volumes became the main restriction on sales. In our opinion, active increase in demand for thermal imagers will last approximately till June. However even after that tasks of temperature measurement will remain relevant, and devices will be used in the organizations from different spheres. Especially demanded such video cameras will be among the companies with a large number of employees – from one thousand people. But it is important to understand that Mobotix devices, as well as any other cameras, are not the medical equipment and cannot detect heat, define an indisposition and feeling sick. Administrations of regions, organizations of secondary and higher education, medical institutions and also industrial enterprises, including from the list backbone became main customers of video cameras with functions of the thermal imager.

Mobotix M16 and S16 devices are capable to take temperature in the range from −40 to +550 °C, involving each pixel of a thermal frame. At the same time cameras combine images of the thermovision sensor with images of the sensor of a visible range. It allows to distinguish more precisely objects and to analyze most "hot places". In addition, cameras can be integrated with the module of biometric access control and the system of face recognition.
