2020: Start of DNS service with the average time of response of 21 ms

On November 12, 2020 G-Core Labs started open beta testing of own service DNS with the average time of response of 21 ms (according to independent service of testing DNS DNSperf). In service GEO-DNS and Global AnyCast technologies are implemented that helps to accelerate and protect establishment of Internet connection regardless of a location of users.

The product will be demanded by any Internet business for which low delays and stability of connection are priority: online retail, media, video games, online movie theaters and SaaS services. Because of overloads or long distances between the user and the server the speed of loading of the websites can be increased. The G-Core Labs DNS servers are located more than in 100 points of presence in 65 cities worldwide, and the inquiry of the user is sent to the closest of them.

We use own DNS since launch of a global network of content delivery of G-Core Labs. Already then, that quickly and correctly to give content to the user, stable DNS servers were required for us. At this DNS with function of balancing on geosign intended only for internal use and was one of competitive advantages of the company. Today global infrastructure of G-Core Labs is located on five continents and has more than 100 points of presence, - Dmitry Samoshkin, the vice president for the products G-Core Labs comments

The GEO-DNS function allows to give the different IP addresses depending on location of the user. For the websites with heterogeneous geography of visitors it gives the chance to segment traffic, to send users to the servers intended for them and also to block access to visitors from certain countries or regions. At the same time at the peak moments the DNS hosting with function of balancing on geosign also helps to cope with loading and to direct traffic of clients not only to the next locations, but also to any free servers of the company regardless of arrangement.

The DNS hosting from G-Core Labs uses AnyCast technology when the same IP address is answered by several servers. This necessary condition for smooth operation of the website: in case of lack of the answer or breakdown of one of servers, network equipment redirects a request for another. Besides, AnyCast helps to reduce impact of DDoS attacks for the appropriation account of requests between a server group.

For November, 2020 any company can use free of charge a personal account of DNS from G-Core Labs for independent setup, management of resource records and use of a product.
