On November 16, 2020 "Magnet" announced release API for data reception about new goods. The retailer implemented an innovation with assistance of the companies Brandquad, BrandContentService and "Sberkorus".

As note in "A magnet, every month category managers of the company code more than 2.5-3 thousand new goods, at the same time all process with reconciliation took 7-12 days the supplier of provided data. Now due to use of API and optimization of internal processes this term will be reduced to one day. And in general time of input of new products for regiments will decrease by 20%, will calculate in Magnet.

To transfer data on the new scheme, the supplier it is necessary to connect in the content service provider API access for information exchange with retail network and to load data on the goods into a system. After that it is necessary to receive confirmation on a possibility of data reception on innovation at the category manager of Magnet and to give to it the reference to the directory with information.

If necessary content service providers will help to digitize data on goods before loading in Magnet and will check their compliance to requirements of retail network. At the same time the acquired information will quickly be led up to shops and to be loaded in online application of Magnet and the application of partners which perform delivery from network, the retailer notes.

Data transmission about goods directly from directories of suppliers will help to avoid errors of manual entry and information processing both on the party of the supplier, and on the party of the retailer that considerably simplifies work for all participants of process. Also it allows the retailer to reduce a resource by coding of goods as a result of smaller time expenditure on vendor interaction. As a result Magnet will begin to bring quicker the new range to shelves and will begin to react more flexibly to change of consumer preferences, it is specified in the message of the company.
