2020: SK: because of doctors of clinic in Moscow 5 patients died

On November 16, 2020 the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation across Moscow announced criminal proceedings after the death of five patients in capital private clinic. According to the investigation, clients of medical institution died because of doctors.

It is about clinic under the name "Scientific and Practical Center of Surgery and Gynecology", it is located on Michurinsk the avenue. SK reported that the clinic rendered the services which were not meeting safety requirements that led to the death of five patients and causing one more patient of harm to health of average weight. The medical center had no license for medical services which were rendered to patients, it is specified in the message of Investigative Committee.

By November 16, 2020 investigation continues: in the nearest future investigators will interrogate the management of clinic and its employees, necessary examinations will be appointed. Criminal case is opened according to Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — "rendering the services which are not meeting safety requirements, entailed the death of two and more persons by negligence". The maximum punishment on this article makes 10 years of prison.

Earlier in "The scientific and practical center of surgery and gynecology" announced Roszdravnadzor the death of patients. Department noted that the psychological pressure that those transferred additional funds was put upon relatives of patients. One of the people who addressed to Roszdravnadzor noted that the staff of clinic asked to pay services with transfer to personal bank cards. After check the clinic was sealed up and deprived of the license for carrying out anesthesiology and resuscitation. Later the court completely cancelled the license of clinic.

According to Russia 1 TV channel, in clinic there were not enough narcotic devices and medical ventilators, and the medical institution made out relatives for treatment a bill in half a million rubles.^[1]
