Artem Zdunov was born on May 18, 1978 in Kazan (Tatar the ASSR).

Education

In 2000 graduated from the Kazan Financial and Economic Institute (KFEI). Candidate of Economic Sciences.

Biography

2018

In February, 2018 it is appointed the Prime Minister of Dagestan, and in September of the same year it is reassigned to this post after leaving of the government in resignation in connection with election as the head of the republic of Vladimir Vasilyev. Before appointment to the republic worked in Tatarstan where held a position of the Minister of Economics of the region.

2020: Appointment as the Governor of Mordovia

On November 18, 2020 Artyom Zdunov was appointed the acting as the Governor of Mordovia. The former head of the republic resigned in the same day.

Zdunov will fulfill duties of the head of the republic before taking office of the person elected the Governor of Mordovia, said in the decree of the president Russia Vladimir Putin. This document becomes effective from the date of its signing.

Work as the Governor of Mordovia was not only it is responsible, but also it is interesting. And I was given to this case with all the heart, in every way. But time goes. The source of RBC close to the leadership of Mordovia told that the age and the state of health became the reason of leaving of Volkov (this year to it 66 years were performed). He also noted that Volkov whose powers expired in 2022, was ready to finish until the end of term.

Artem Zdunov in a conversation with RIA Novosti said that quality of life of the population, the income of citizens and financial policy of the region are for it priority tasks on a post of the head of Mordovia.

As notes RBC, Mordovia is a champion on the level of a debt load among regions (211.5%, the average volume of such loading — about 25%). The national debt of Mordovia makes 50.1 billion rubles.[1][2]
