2020: Announcement of Hilti Jaibot
On November 25, 2020 the Hilti company provided the first Jaibot robot – the semiautonomous mobile device for accomplishment of openings in a ceiling zone with support of technology of information modeling of buildings (BIM). Hilti Jaibot will help contractors with paste board of the engineering systems to optimize performance and safety of works and to solve a problem of labor shortage in a pandemic.
According to the company, Hilti Jaibot solves the problems on the basis of the buildings given information modeling – BIM. The robot is completely wireless and simple system in use which does not require special skills. He precisely is guided indoors, drills openings with technology of neutralization of dust and marks them according to a type of construction works. For this reason this solution is suitable for installation of the mechanical, electrical and sanitary systems (MEP).
Exceeding of terms and budget overrun – a routine case, especially for large construction projects. Optimization of performance is possible thanks to digital planning of construction projects and their implementation using robotic solutions. Robotic solutions with support of BIM also do process of construction by more transparent at the expense of the speed of accomplishment, stable performance and smaller quantity of errors. The daily progress report can be transferred from building to project office through cloud services. Potential disagreements between the construction trades involved on a building site can be also detected at an early stage, and then are excluded that will lead to accomplishment of bigger number of projects in time and within the budget.
The important role in development of Jaibot was played by security. It is developed to help specialists with physically complex, repeating works, such as drilling of a set of openings over the head for installation of the mechanical, electrical or sanitary systems. Manage the robot from the remote control, using the data obtained from the robotic Hilti PLT 300 tacheometer. Openings are within reach drilled automatically.
We investigated what standard works on the building site are the most intense, and these are first of all the works performed at the level above human growth. From the very beginning it was important to develop the robotic solution which would support our clients where it is most of all necessary for us. Julia Zanona, Hilti robotics manager told |
