2020: Resignation as General Secretary of the Direct Democracy Party

At the end of November 2020, Vyacheslav Makarov, former product director of World of Tanks, announced his resignation from the post of general secretary of the Direct Democracy Party he founded. This was reported on the organization's website.

From the first days of the existence of our party, I said that I had no plans for long-term political activity. Moreover, to be elected to any legislative bodies. I have always considered my task to launch the party itself in every sense of the word, from collecting like-minded people to officially registering with the Ministry of Justice. We managed to fulfill this task - the party exists, it lives an active political life, - explained Makarov.

According to him, the party, registered in May 2020, "has already achieved its first successes," in particular in the field of election observation and expert work with remote electronic voting. At the same time, in September, the Party of Direct Democracy could not get representatives in any regional legislative assembly.

The election of the new Secretary General will be held on December 5, 2020. For this post, Makarov recommended Oleg Artamonov, a member of the Supreme Coordination Council and head of the scientific and technical expertise group of the Direct Democracy Party.

Makarov sees the main task of the party as the promotion of electronic voting, which the Russian authorities have been talking about since 2019. The Party of Direct Democracy will have a mobile application based on blockchain technology: it will be possible to vote through it. They plan to spend about $1 million on the development.

We managed to form such a think tank around electronic voting, we worked very productively with the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, territorial election commissions, developers of voting systems - DIT of Moscow and PJSC Rostelecom - and I hope, that in 2021 we will be able to expand the practice of attracting experts and the widest possible interaction with all interested parties and on other urgent problems and tasks of society and the state, " - said Oleg Artamanov, whose words are quoted on the party website[1]

2022: Co-founder of the Video Game Industry Development Organization (RVI)

As of December 2022, he is an independent producer and game designer, one of the founders of the Organization for the Development of the Video Game Industry (RVI).
