2020: System implementation of management of warehouses
On December 7, 2020 Novardis (Novardis Consulting) announced that the international retail network of Globus hypermarkets began an implementation project of a warehouse control system based on SAP EWM and in-memory databases SAP HANA. A system will be implemented on all platforms of the company in Russia, Germany and Czech Republic.
Project objective is product introduction from SAP company for updating of a warehouse control system and creation of scalable digital infrastructure. During the tender the partner in implementation selected NOVARDIS company.
SAP implementation of EWM will allow retail network "Globus" to ensure harmonious functioning of all divisions connected with delivery, transportation, movements and warehousing of goods. This WMS system will promote capacity growth of a warehouse and also reduction of time of collecting of orders and idle time of personnel.
It is expected that a system will allow to increase work performance due to implementation of voice selection, to lower labor costs on the entering processes and processes of the internal movement and also to stabilize deliveries to a high season.
In plans of the company – gain of positions of network of Globus hypermarkets in the highly competitive Russian market at the expense of process optimization of warehouse logistics.
Already took the first step of gain of warehouse logistics of Globus in 2020 – opened own logistic center. Now queue of implementation of a warehouse system which will allow to keep development of the company, increase in supply rates and shipments, opening of hypermarkets of network came, – Andrzhey Bald, the Managing director of the Logistic center of Globus company commented. |
